Maggie began working as the Research Assistant for the Benchmarking Report in 2012. She grew up in Michigan and most recently spent the last two and half years living in Berlin, Germany and Lund, Sweden where she enjoyed commuting by bike and foot on a daily basis. In Sweden she earned a master’s degree in sustainability science from Lund University and prior to this a master’s degree in urban and environmental planning from the University of Virginia. Through her education and experiences abroad, she has become committed to finding ways to encourage biking and walking in the United States and to make it more accessible to more people. Maggie also enjoys WWOOFing (working on organic farms), swimming, dancing and making music.
