With a little bit of support, biking and walking advocates can make amazing changes in their communities. That's why the Alliance supports our member organizations with strategic grants and scholarships to advocate trainings. 

Grants

Thanks to support from sponsors in public health and the bicycle industry, the Alliance and Advocacy Advance - our partnership with the League of American Bicyclists - has invested over $900,000 in advocacy organizations over the past 5 years. 

Rapid Response Grants

Advocacy Advance awards these grants on a rolling basis to help state and local organizations take advantage of unexpected opportunities to win, increase, or preserve funding for biking and walking. Since 2011, Rapid Response grant recipients have won $100 million in public funding for biking and walking - an ROI of $1,333 won for every $1 invested. 

Thanks to support from SRAM Cycling Fund, Advocacy Advance will award 100,000 in grants in 2014 to organizations that are a member of both the League and Alliance. Learn more and apply »

Scholarships

Thanks to support from generous donors and sponsors, the Alliance awards scholarships to assist leaders who would otherwise be unable to attend advocacy trainings. Interested advocates should inquire with the relevant contact for the training in which they are interested.
