The Alliance researches, produces, and curates resouces to help on-the-ground advocates win better biking and walking in their communities. 

Benchmarking Report

In conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control, the Alliance publishes the biennial Benchmarking Report to collect and analyze data on bicycling and walking in all 50 states, the 51 largest U.S. cities, and a select number of midsized cities. The Report combines original research with over 20 government data sources to report data on bicycling and walking levels and demographics, safety, funding, policies, infrastructure, education, public health indicators, and economic impacts. It's an essential go-to resource for public officials, advocates, decisionmakers, and researchers.

Guides and Reports

The Alliance for Biking & Walking researches and writes guides and reports on biking and walking policy, active transportation funding, economic impacts of biking & walking, and implementing effective advocacy. Photos

Rights-free, publicity-ready photos of biking and walking can be hard to find. To cut down on valuable administrative time for our member organizations, the Alliance maintains a Flickr pool of photos that are free for member use.  Learn more »

Job Board

Our movement is growing. As a national organization, the Alliance often receives inquiries about opportunities in biking and walking advocacy. The job board is a hub for state and local advocacy organizations to list openings to connect with top talent - and a resource for job-seekers interested in a career in active transportation. Bike Attorneys

The Bike Law Network is a team of like-minded bicycle advocates and accident attorneys. Founded by Peter Wilborn, Bob Mionske, and Ann Groninger, it has expanded to cover 20 states. Alliance members have access to on-call assistance from national experts, including pro-bono legal services offered by Bike Law. Learn more »
