As bicycling grows in your community, so too will the demand for safe and secure bicycle parking at community events. A number of Alliance organizations have found themselves with the opportunity to provide valet bike parking services in their community while earning money for and promoting their organization. Several bicycle advocacy organizations that work at the city level design bicycle infrastructure advocacy campaigns around a central "Connecting the City" initiative. While the term "Connecting the City" started in San Francisco, it's a model that has been adopted in other cities – notably Pittsburgh, Richmond, and Atlanta.
