Several bicycle advocacy organizations that work at the city level design bicycle infrastructure advocacy campaigns around a central "Connecting the City" initiative. While the term "Connecting the City" started in San Francisco, it's a model that has been adopted in other cities – notably Pittsburgh, Richmond, and Atlanta.
