Dani has worked on urban environmental issues at the city, national and international levels. She uses strategic communications tools ranging from social media, to traditional advertising, to grassroots outreach and special events to bring community and media attention to the relationships between social equity, transportation and public space. She previously served as the Director of Strategic Communications for the New York City Department of Transportation where she started the Summer Streets program. She was also a co-author of the agency’s strategic business plan Sustainable Streets. Dani is currently the Director of Marketing for NYC Bike Share, the operators of Citi Bike. She is a daily bike commuter.
