Dan heads Colorado’s statewide bicycle advocacy organization promoting bicycling for transportation, health, and recreation. Bicycle Colorado and its 7,000 members led the successful legislative efforts to create the Colorado Safe Routes to School program, pass the Bicycle Safety Act and begin the Colorado Share the Road Education Fund. Dan is also a member of the Denver Regional Council of Governments’ Transportation Advisory Committee and the Denver Metro Living Streets Initiative. He holds a master’s degree in non-profit business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a nationally certified cycling instructor.
