O CANADA / O SAY CAN YOU SEE

This week, northern North Americans commemorated July 1, 1867, when The British North America Act was signed. The act, now known as the Constitution Act, combined several British colonies into our beloved Canada. And today, middle North Americans remember July 4, 1776, when the Constitutional Convention adopted the Declaration of Independence, proclaiming the United States free of British rule and setting off a big ol' war. Canadians and United Statesians from sea to shining sea celebrate(d) this week with parades, fireworks, and surely a few walks and bike rides.
