ENVISION ZERO TRAFFIC DEATHS
Today, the Alliance and many leaders from our member organizations are in NYC at the Vision Zero Symposium for Cities, hosted by Transportation Alternatives. The core idea behind Vision Zero is that no human being should be killed or seriously injured in traffic. After all, every traffic death and injury can be attributed to some factor that we have the power to change. Through changes to travel speeds along certain corridors, public street infrastructure and engineering, public education, and enforcement policy, we can make the right decisions to keep everybody safe on our public roads.

Vision Zero campaigns are popping up in various cities around North America. Just last week, San Francisco's Vision Zero Coalition gathered to mourn the loss of 28 victims of traffic violence so far in 2014.

ELECTION ESPLANADE
BikeTexas has endorsed candidates for the city's runoff city council vote. We can't link to them, but Google probably knows where they are.
