About Your Hosts:

Bicycle Indiana is the only statewide bicycle advocacy and education organization in Indiana, established in 1992 as the Indiana Bicycle Coalition. Our mission is to create a more bicycle friendly Indiana, by encouraging and educating bicyclists and motorists, developing more inclusive communities for cycling, and providing a unified voice for cyclists in Indiana.

The City of Indianapolis is a bronze designated Bicycle Friendly Community. Over the past six years, especially, Indianapolis has invested in creating a vibrant and safe community. Much of this can be attributed to Mayor Ballard, an avid cyclist, including the addition of many miles of bike lanes and protected bikeways. In 2013, the Indianapolis Cultural Trail was opened, providing eight miles of protected multi-use trail, connecting the city’s cultural districts.
