IS IT SPRINGTIME YET?
Sunday Streets begins this Sunday in San Francisco! Does that mean it's almost spring??
There are definite signs that, whatever the groundhog may say, spring is on its way. Bike NYC just publicized its calendar for the spring season, which looks completely amazing. Just reading it makes me feel the warm sun on my back. Meanwhile, Safe Routes Philly is already organizing Bike to School Day, which takes place May 6. And in Florida, Gov. Rick Scott has declared March Florida Bicycle Month. That's now! Hard to believe, when the rest of us are still blanketed in snow.
For those of us north of the Mason-Dixon line or wherever it still feels like winter, we can take comfort in knowing that pretty soon this lion of a month will turn into a lamb and we can go for rides again without people telling us how hardcore we are.
